By agreeing to the work to be completed as shown on the Quotation you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

DEFINITIONS:

We, Our, Us or Kent Wheel Repair refers to Car Body Repairs Ltd trading as Kent Wheel Repair as per any Quotation/Invoice.

You or Your, refers to the client.

Estimate, refers to any ‘ worst case damage ‘ verbal estimate.

Quote and Quotation refers to the written fixed priced quotation which may be associated with an estimate, service repair appointment booking or mp,omitted service repair location:

We may provide You with a verbal estimate before images of your damaged alloy wheels have been sent to US.  Any verbal estimate will be made on a ‘ worst case damage ‘ scenario, where upon receipt of clear images and/or detailed descriptive information of the damage sustained to the alloy wheels, a formal fixed price quotation will be issued by YOU.

The Quote prepared by Us is an offer to repair the damage alloy wheels, as per the damaged indicated via good clear images and/or detailed descriptive information presented to Us, at the cost stated on your fixed priced quotation. By You, making an agreement, however stated, to proceed with repair of the damaged alloy wheels and/or vehicle damage, constitutes acceptance of that offer and forms a binding legal contract incorporating these Terms of Business.

If for any reason, including but not limited to negative variables such as the weather, We are unable to carry out the service at the agreed time or location indicated on the Quotation or/any appointment confirmation advice, any and all liability incurred by Us as a result, shall be discharged if We make an offer to complete the repair at the Quotation price at an alternative time or location convenient to both parties, whether or not such appointment date or location is identified / accepted.

Service may be discharged/completed at a location agreed with You, or at a location nominated by Us. We have absolute discretion to decide on the suitability of any location put forward for Us/ an agent acting on Our behalf to attend. This decision may be changed, including the date of an appointment, as variable factors including but not limited to adverse weather which may affect our decision.

If We decide that an appointment be completed at a location other than originally proposed, You authorise us to have the ability to instruct a third party to move the vehicle to an appropriate location. Removal and return of a motor vehicle in these circumstances will be at Our discretion and may be provided by Us at an additional cost, dependent upon the agreement/fixed priced Quotation.

We require a location where Our/Your motor vehicle can be safely accessed. The typically duration of mobile alloy wheel refurbishment service session ( dependent on damage ) on a 4 x wheel repair session is typically about 4 hours. We reserve the right to return on another appointment, usually the following day, if necessary to complete a repair session if needed.

Quotations are typically valid for 7 days, however at Our discretion, we may reopen a quotation in order to provide you with service assistance.

REPAIRS:

We make an undertaking to provide you with service assistance as indicated on the Quotation. If during our attendance, it is determined by the repairer, further work outside the initial scope of works is necessary, Your authorisation will be obtained before any further work is undertaken that would increase the price shown on Your Quotation.

If authorisation is not provided, we reserve the right to terminate the appointment. In a circumstance such as this, the full Quotation cost remains. Any additional work that does not increase the Quotation cost may proceed without authorisation.

No hand completed aftermarket repair will be identical to a factory powder coated finish where the alloy wheel is chemically stripped of its paint / lacquer and subjected to a new powder coat / paint application within a contained workshop environment, where procedures may be completed machines to a tolerance level beyond human capability, hence no hand completed repair being that of a newly manufactured / powder coated alloy wheel. We discharge our obligations under Our agreement by providing You with a high quality, hand completed aftermarket repair of damaged alloy wheels. In normal circumstances, such repairs are very unlikely to be detected by a casual examination by an untrained observer or even trained vehicle inspection operatives unaware of the location of previous cosmetic damage.

It is mandatory require for every client to advise Us by way of images or video, any alloy wheel / vehicle bodywork panel that they wish Us to assess for the purposes of providing a fixed price quotation.

In the event that we provide you with service assistance when dealing with diamond cut / machine polished wheels, your vehicle will be placed on axle stands and the wheels collected, refurbished and returned.  Whilst every care is taken when placing your vehicle on axle stands, We assume no liability with respect to the environment your vehicle is sited and clients use of this service is at Your own risk.  If your vehicle is fitted with electronic diagnostic systems such as tyre sensors, wheel pressure / drive calibration modules, you may need to, at Your cost, have these electronic diagnostic modules recalibrated by an authorised dealer or third party.  We take no responsibility for any issues with any electronic diagnostic system, You may face once refurbished alloy wheels have been refitted onto your vehicle.

GUARANTEE:

We offer a 12 month guarantee. This is a formulation and application guarantee in that the finish will not degrade due to the paint being improperly mixed or applied by Us. The guarantee is applicable to the original Kent Wheel Repair client and is not transferable under any circumstances. Future damage to the same area or failure to follow the care instructions provided by Us will invalidate the warranty. In a situation where You insist upon a repair to a corroded / oxidised or diamond cut wheel, we will NOT provided any guarantee or warranty against the finish. If a client insists that a corroded wheels is repaired, this will be on an ‘ improvement only basis ‘ and no warranty is made or implied to the longevity of this type of repair against the normal standard guarantee / warranty term we provide.

It is the absolute responsibility of the client to advise Us, of any non-original finish on damaged alloy wheels or vehicle bodywork such as corrosion, rust, cracks / fractures, dents / flat spots or buckling. In case of incompatibility with a non-original finish ( whether or not notified by the client ), We have the right to void this contract, where We will not be obliged to complete or rectify any outstanding repair requirement and We retain the absolute discretion to discharge any liability in relation to the Quotation that You accepted.

If at any time a warranty claim is made, we will come out to you to rectify the repair or offer a full refund if we are not able to provided a pathway to rectification. If You decide to take your alloy wheel/s to a third party repairer, we will not be liable to any cost above our invoiced cost that was subject to your Quotation.

If we decide that a pathway to rectification can be offered via an agent or third party repairer, we will utilise a partner company to effect resolution and We accept no liability for any material costs incurred whilst waiting for the rectification of any items.

AFTERCARE:

The repaired wheel must NOT be washed or polished for a minimum period of Fourteen ( 14 ) days following our attendance to repair your damaged alloy wheels.  This is to allow the paint/lacquer finish to fully cure and harden. We strongly advise against the use of pressure washers / steam cleaners or mechanised washing units / booths, as these can diminish the exterior finish of your alloy wheels and subsequently void any warranty placed upon the longevity of the finish.

PAYMENT TERMS:

Unless agreed by prior arrangement – our payment terms require a BACS payment submitted against the full invoice.  A debit / credit card payment can be made via our merchant payment provider SagePay.

The action of settling any invoice, sets the job ticket to LIVE status and provides authorisation for a vehicle technician to attend a clients nominated service repair location and complete the repair request.

Cleared payments will be acknowledged with a VAT payment receipt of Your credit/debit card or BACS transaction via email in .pdf format to Your correspondence email address.

RIGHT TO CANCEL:

If We book your vehicle in for a service repair appointment and You then wish to cancel the appointment, we require reasonable prior notice.  Where this is not the case, we reserve the right to charge the client a missed appointment fee of £50.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:

Under no circumstance, will we be held liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages including any loss of business, revenue or profits, arising from any attendance / delay in attendance by ourselves or an agent or third party. At our discretion, we may limit or vary a claim against ourselves, by varying any remedy /refund of any sum paid to Us.

No clause or stipulation within this agreement will operate to exclude any liability for death or personal injury arising as result of the negligence of Kent Wheel Repair.

SEVERANCE:

If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck out and the remaining provisions shall remain in force.

GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION:

This Agreement will be governed by the laws of England and any user of the Kent Wheel Repair website ( kentwheelrepair.co.uk ) hereby agrees to be bound exclusively by the jurisdiction of English courts without reference to rules governing choice of laws.
